Due to its capacity to generate and produce knowledge, ideas, and proposals, and to recognize various alternatives from which decision makers can pick and make the appropriate choices. The State is sensitive to the importance of research centres and to enable the University to play this leading role. A decision was issued in January 1973 to establish a research centre at the University and to appoint the head of the centre. In an effort to revitalize the Centre and remove obstacles to it, the People’s Committee issued Resolution No. 77/6M of 1977/1/13M reorganizing the Centre.
